App Connect · MQ · DataPower · API Connect

Connect the estate. Automate the work that still needs people.

Guild Systems designs and implements IBM integration and business automation — from App Connect Enterprise, IBM MQ, and DataPower to BAW, RPA, and API Connect — so applications, partners, and gateways operate as one governed system.

Why IBM integration is still the enterprise standard

Enterprises do not have a greenfield integration problem. They have decades of MQ, files, APIs, and partner EDI that still have to work on Monday. IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM MQ, and API Connect remain the platforms that can span that history without forcing a rewrite. We design for that reality.

Patterns we implement

We match the pattern to the SLA, not the other way around.

  • Synchronous APIs governed through IBM API Connect
  • Asynchronous IBM MQ for decoupling and guaranteed delivery
  • Event streaming with IBM Event Streams (Kafka) for low-latency pipelines
  • ETL and file-based integration via ACE, SFTP, AS2, and MFT
  • Hybrid connectivity from on-prem systems to SaaS through ACE on OpenShift
  • B2B / EDI with IBM Sterling and ACE

Business automation on top of the bus

IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM RPA extend integration into the human layer — loan origination, claims, regulatory approvals, employee onboarding. Typical cycle-time reductions on well-scoped BAW programs run 40–60% through intelligent routing, SLA management, and exception handling. RPA covers the desktop work that still has no API.

API strategy and governance

API Connect is how Guild Systems helps clients create, test, manage, secure, socialize, and monetize APIs across their lifecycle — internal and partner-facing. Visibility, quality, consistency, security, and compliance have to sit in one control plane, or every team invents its own gateway. Sid Bhatia’s practice covers that full stack: API Connect, DataPower, App Connect, and MQ.

DataPower as a governed operating model

Replacing an appliance is not modernization. For a large U.S. financial gateway, Guild Systems moved IBM DataPower from X2 to X3 by treating transition architecture as the product: non-production first, monthly authorized production windows, and DataPower-as-Code so desired state is reviewable before it hits the box.

  • Git as the source of truth for appliance configuration
  • Change control before any execution
  • Ansible orchestration instead of appliance-by-appliance admin
  • REST Management Interface and SOMA for supported execution
  • Enterprise Vault, HSM/PKI, and centralized logging in the same loop
